Dr Budge is a Bariatric and General Surgeon with extensive experience in abdominal surgery, using both open and laparoscopic (key hole) techniques.
Dr Budge has been associated with SIOS since 2016 offering all weight loss and General surgeries (Lap-Band, Gastric Sleeve, By-Pass and Revisional surgery)
Dr Budge is very popular with all SIOS patients as he takes an interest in each individual patient’s needs to achieve the best result in reaching improved Health through weight loss.
Dr Budge graduated from the University of NSW with Honours in 2000.
His early career was spent in Western Sydney and Western NSW.
Dr Budge also obtained extensive experience of acute general surgical practice at Nepean Hospital.
Dr Budge further developed his skills in General surgery in Canberra in 2012-2014, Liverpool, and Wollongong Hospitals where he worked with a wide variety of experienced specialists bringing a wealth of experience, Joel continued at Wollongong Hospital in 2015 as a fellow in Upper Gastrointestinal surgery
